The Second Annual Devolution Conference being held at Tom Mboya Labour Community College in Kisumu entered its second day in earnest as exhibitors from various counties unleashed their best.
But as all these happened, a section of Governors from the tea growing counties came forward and declared their interest and willingness to get enjoined in an ongoing constitutional petition case filed by H.E. Governor, Prof. Paul Chepkwony against key players in the sector over their alleged exploitation of tea farmers.
The Governors, Mwangi Wairia (Muranga), Joseph Ndathi (Kirinyaga) and Peter Munya (Meru) joined Governor Chepkwony in declaring to jointly push for the interest of farmers from their regions by building a strong legal team which will ensure the petition sails through and tea farmers given their due rights they have been denied for decades now.
